Infiniti G37x

Combining rakish style and dynamic performance with the safety of intelligent all-wheel drive, the G37x S is the latest addition to the Infiniti G Sedan range. It is the first time Infiniti’s sportiest S grade has been available with AWD in the G line-up. Previously only the GT was available with AWD.

Like every G model, the G37x S is powered by a 320PS 3.7-litre V6 mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifts – a combination that delivers 0-100km/h acceleration in just 6.0 seconds. With Infiniti’s torque-sensing AWD system aboard, the swift pace is available virtually irrespective of weather or road surface. The car has a top speed of 240km/h and an official combined fuel consumption of 11.0 l/100km, with CO2 emissions of 255g/km.

The newest G model bears all the style, features and technology that set the Infiniti brand apart. The sole AWD model in the G line-up for 2012, the G37x S is distinguished by S hallmarks such as red S badges, 18-inch Sport design alloy wheels and smoked lens headlights. Inside, features include sports seats, with 14-way electric adjustment for the driver, and aluminium pedals and footrest. The G37x S also comes with the Multimedia pack of hard disk drive (HDD) navigation and music systems, 10-speaker Bose® Premium Sound System, reversing camera and high resolution touch screen.

The G37x S takes its place in a new-look G line-up. The flagship G37 S Premium builds its credentials with keen drivers thanks to 4-Wheel Active Steer (4WAS), sports suspension, sports brakes and Viscous Limited Slip Differential to get the most from the balanced rear-drive chassis. It also comes with Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) among a suite of electronic safety aids.

There are two GT models, both now in rear-wheel drive form only. The G37 GT, with leather seat facings, driver’s seat memory, heated front seats and driver’s electric lumbar support. The G37 GT Premium – fitted additionally with the Multimedia pack and sunroof among other features.

The entry model for Europe remains the G37. Standard features include Shodo aluminum cabin trim, 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive bi-Xenon lights, Scratch Shield paint, i-Key smart access, and electrically adjustable front seats and steering column.

The G family is completed for 2012 by the G37 Coupé and G37 Convertible, both of which continue unchanged.

INFINITI ANNOUNCES 2013 IPL G CONVERTIBLE

- Infiniti Performance Line (IPL) Expands As Stunning New Open-Top Model Joins IPL G Coupe in Infiniti Showrooms Beginning Spring 2012 -

Infiniti today announced that it will double its Infiniti Performance Line lineup of premium performance vehicles in spring 2012 with the addition of a new 2013 IPL G Convertible. More than just focusing on engine power and acceleration, the Infiniti Performance Line, or IPL, product design philosophy focuses on “total vehicle performance,” including unique driving attributes and exclusive exterior and interior features at highly attractive price points.

The IPL G Convertible announcement was made by Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance where the IPL G Convertible Concept is currently on display. The IPL G Convertible Concept features unique aerodynamic styling, the dynamic performance of an IPL-tuned V6, exhaust and suspension, 19-inch IPL aluminum-alloy wheels, three-piece retractable hardtop and a unique red leather-appointed interior set against a Malbec Black exterior – a level of equipment and performance modification expected to be shared with the production IPL G Convertible.

“The Infiniti Performance Line, as demonstrated by our first offering, the IPL G Coupe, challenges the concept of an ultra-high cost sports series. IPL pushes the premium performance envelope for buyers seeking a higher level of exclusivity and driving exhilaration, but does so with an Infiniti twist,” said Poore. “The IPL G Convertible will deliver the goods, just like the current IPL G Coupe does. Plus, the new IPL G Convertible offers the added pleasure of open-air motoring.”

The new IPL G Convertible is based on the foundation of the Infiniti G37 Convertible, which features an advanced 3.7-liter V6 and three-piece power retractable hardtop that’s designed to look as good with the top up as it does down.

“Like every Infiniti, the new IPL G Convertible will take a different path from its established competitors,” added Poore. “It’s a terrific addition to the Infiniti Performance Line, taking the dramatic Infiniti G Convertible to an even higher level.”

Additional information on the 2013 IPL G Convertible will be available during the production version debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Infiniti EX30d

Infiniti EX30d

The SUV standard-setter for standard equipment, the Infiniti EX, is more fully featured than ever from this summer. In a mid-year specification adjustment, every EX apart from the entry-level EX30d now comes with Infiniti’s sophisticated Connectiviti+ navigation and entertainment platform and a premium Bose® audio system, among other changes.

The revisions confirm the mid-grade GT model in particular as one of the most complete cars in its class – without recourse to the expensive options beloved by the EX’s rivals. In addition to Connectiviti+ and Bose® audio, GT models in either EX37 petrol or EX30d diesel form are now equipped with 19-inch wheels – as standard.

The new features join an already impressive list of equipment on every GT model – leather trim, heated, electrically adjustable front seats, and electrically adjustable steering column included. These are all in addition to signature EX features – such as intelligent all-wheel-drive, 7-speed automatic transmission, Xenon cornering headlights and electrically foldable rear seat bench – standard on every EX including the entry-level EX30d.

There are upgrades too for the GT Premium, the EX range’s technology flagship. Already equipped with Connectiviti+ and some of the most advanced safety systems yet developed – including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW) – GT Premium models from 1 June will also feature as standard an electrically operated glass sunroof as well as premium Bose® audio and 19-inch wheels.

In other EX news, every model in the range is now available with the paint option of Malbec Black, latest metallic Scratch Shield finish which was first available on the M sedan.

The changes represent the icing on the EX cake and reflect customers’ desire for top spec models, a trend Infiniti has seen in all of its ranges since Japan’s newest performance luxury brand first arrived in Europe almost three years ago.

Connectiviti+ is a state-of-the-art platform of information and entertainment functions designed to work seamlessly together for maximum user friendliness. The navigation, powered by a 30GB hard disk drive, includes features such as voice recognition, 3D graphics of junctions and points of interest on the high-resolution touch-screen display, and, uniquely, direct access to Michelin’s Green and Red Guides for tourist and hotel/restaurant information.

Entertainment functionality centres on a 10GB Music Box that can store up to 300 CDs, all tracks clearly labelled thanks to the Gracenote® music database integrated into the HDD. Concert hall reproduction is delivered by a Bose® 11-speaker Premium Sound System. Other features that some rival makes charge extra for – such as a USB port, DVD movie playback, Bluetooth for hands-free mobile phone use and audio streaming – are all part of the high-tech package.

2011 Infiniti EX price list:

EX30d £37,130
EX30d GT £41,390
EX37 GT £41,930
EX30d GT Premium £45,270
EX37 GT Premium £45,810

Infiniti Challenges the Notion of What a Hybrid Should Be with the Launch of the Infiniti M Hybrid (Video)

– New Advertising Campaign Focuses on the 2012 Infiniti M Hybrid, the Only Vehicle to Offer 360 Horsepower and 32 MPG –

Infiniti announces its first high performance hybrid in bold style. In a new ad campaign that challenges the conventional notion of what a hybrid can be, Infiniti takes viewers on a journey through the history of hybrids, starting over 100 years ago with the invention of the first hybrid car in 1888, to the hybrid patent in 1909, through the hybrids of the ‘70s and on to hybrids today – directly challenging the notion that you can’t have great performance and great fuel economy.

With a fully integrated campaign, Infiniti is boldly challenging consumer perception that hybrids are boring. To drive this point home, Henry Rollins, former frontman for the band Black Flag, is the voice of the campaign.

The 2012 Infiniti M hybrid is set to launch nationwide in spring 2011. The groundbreaking new vehicle features the all-new Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid™ system – a one-motor, two-clutch parallel hybrid system. The Infiniti M Hybrid is the only car in America that delivers 360 horsepower and 32 miles-per-gallon.

“The new Infiniti M Hybrid provides the same level of luxury and performance as the rest of our lineup and builds on the strengths Infiniti has always been known for,” said Infiniti Vice President Ben Poore. “Style, luxury and performance will always be the cornerstone of everything Infiniti does.”

The spots begin airing on March 17th during NCAA® March Madness®. Infiniti is a corporate partner of the NCAA, and specifically of NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball. This is the second year Infiniti will have a large brand presence in the tournament.

Infiniti will have over 100 spots across all four networks, including the Men’s Final Four®. In addition, Infiniti will also have custom vignettes and digital and social elements all surrounding March Madness.

The Infiniti M hybrid campaign was created by TBWAChiatDay Los Angeles and includes a total of four TV commercials, print and digital work.
